Message from Constituency MP: Hon. Dr. Makali Mulu.

Welcome to Kitui Central Constituency Website.

I most sincerely thank the Almighty God for giving me the golden opportunity to serve as the Member of Parliament for Kitui Central Constituency. Kitui Central Constituency has enormous untapped potential and resources that could be exploited for the benefit of our people. My Vision is therefore to transform the Constituency to be the most developed constituency in Kenya, while the mission is to transform Kitui Central Constituency into a democratic and developed constituency through prudent use of resources leading to socially, politically and economically empowered electorate.

To realize my vision and mission as the Elected MP, I embrace the core values of high integrity and transparency, professionalism, team-work, inclusiveness, sustainability and networking. My commitment to serving the constituents is first and foremost informed by the need to actualize our potential and transform our constituency into a self-driven and vibrant local economy. I am aware of the various challenges that face the people of Kitui Central that include; youth unemployment, poor school infrastructure, poor academic performance in schools, inadequate and safe water, poor road network, limited rural electrification, dilapidated healthcare facilities, insecurity, environmental degradation and high poverty level especially among the marginalized groups i.e. senior citizens, orphans and widows just to mention a few. The good news is that these challenges are surmountable if we join hands and work as a team. I humbly therefore call upon the Kitui Central electorate and the public at a large to put concerted efforts and support my initiatives to transform our Constituency. I am fully committed to the course and have no doubts whatsoever that we shall successfully realize our goals. I shall provide transformative leadership, to the best of my ability, to push Kitui Central Constituency to next level where we look at the future with pride, hope and confidence.
